Clean Friday Movement, Cleaning Of Mosquito Nest And Fogging

MANADO - To realize the clean and healthy airport environment was implemented Clean Friday movement (2/9) at Sam Ratulangi Airport. This activity was followed by KKP Manado, LANUD SRI, LANUDAL, Airport Authority Manado Region VIII, Angkasa Pura Supports, and Angkasa Pura Logistics. This time was focused on cleaning garbage in the parking area, terminal, offices, the old terminal building, until ex-hangar Merpati, said Nugroho Jati GM Sam Ratulangi Airport Manado. In addition to these locations, drainage and culverts also cleaned because of these places probable breeding mosquito larvae, he added.

It is known that Zika Virus transmission through mosquito bites, so one way to prevent it by carrying out of Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN). In addition to avoiding contact with mosquitoes, cleaning and fogging of mosquito breeding also play a role in breaking the chain of growth of mosquito larvae and adult mosquitoes, explained the Head of KKP Manado dr. Lucia Supit.
